ARTICLESCOSTSAs you may have heard this year the membership fees for individual clubs are being abolished in favour of a single Athletics Association membership fee. You pay this membership fee of £45 when you enroll at the Athletics Association Fair held in the Commie building between 10:30am and 2pm. Don't forget to have a passport sized photo with you.Playing kit is probably going to be the next biggest outlay for most of you. We don't directly supply hockey sticks to anyone, however, if you've not got your own stick yet, there are plenty of players in the club who have a spare stick that they could lend you for training. When you're playing in games it is a regulation that you where shinpads so it's an idea to get hold of a pair while you still have some cash to hand. This year we're getting a corporate image across all the sports clubs. This means that the kit colours shown below have been chosen by the AA and it's what you're duty bound to wear.
To purchase any of the above kit, pick up a leaflet from the AA Office or at the AA Fair. It is a long running tradition that each sports club has its own colour jumper to wear to and from games on Wednesdays and Saturdays. For the lads it's a 'Red Wine' type of colour and for the girls it's Black. Those not wearing their club jumper when entering the Peel will be forced to neck a pint of 'Green Label' (only £1.10). So you freshers will want to purchase one as soon as they become available. Finally , in addition to the jumpers, the AA has come up with another money making scheme and wants you to buy some of its new corporate wear in union colours (Black, Red and White). On top of all that, the AA has also struck up a deal to get Russel Athletic Clothing at a cheaper price; watch this web site for further details.
