Part 10. The Golden Rod Awards
The Golden Rod Awards are for the 2 participants in the tournament who managed to score the most goals. The reason for two awards is that the highest scoring attacker and the highest scoring defender both win a prize.
Taking into the account that I can change the rules at any time (yes even after the tournament has finished), the number of goals scored by any particular player is reduced by the number of own goals scored by that player.
This rule has produced the interesting fact that 3 players managed to score -1 goals for the tournament!

So as you can see Mike Ward and Dave Worrall are the 2 winners of the Golden Rod.
Credit has to go to GT though, although being knocked out in the semi-final he was still the highest scoring defender until the 3rd game of the final when Wozza scored 3 times to just edge out in front.
